The wooden restoration of two magnificent historical monuments of Istanbul came to life again in the hands of artisan masters of Cuma Güzey. Cuma Güzey’s learning of business and working principles begins with his grandfather and father, who are among the distinguished wood craftsmen of Istanbul, from the age of 9-10. Cuma Güzey describes his childhood as follows: “My grandfather and father carried out the wooden restorations of important structures such as Eminönü New Mosque and Historical Mahmutpaşa Bath, to which years added value, 30 years ago with a lot of effort. We have been carrying on this flag, which we took over for 3 generations, with the pride of my grandfather and father’s mastery of the wooden restoration of these important works.”

Taking firm steps forward on the path that his grandfather and father showed him, Cuma Güzey is working as the founder of CG Concept Architecture with a staff of 7 architecture office today. Emphasizing that they always do their work with love, Cuma Güzey said, “We have accomplished many valuable projects with my team. We do our job with love and we continue to improve ourselves to always do the best. Since the day we took over the flag, we have been carrying out our business meticulously. We are determined to continue to put our signature under the best projects on this path we have started. As I always say, “Do your job with love, choose your team well, because a good team can take you to the top.” In his words, he defines the point the company has reached.
